Colorado healthcare supplier joins Pivot Vitality group solar service

Colorado healthcare provider joins Pivot Energy community solar service

Pivot Energy, a community solar developer and national solar provider in Colorado, has signed an agreement with Banner Health for a 5.9 MW community solar subscription, the largest community solar commitment the company has ever made. The subscription represents Pivot’s first collaborative solar offering in healthcare and expands the company’s growing portfolio of clean, zero-emission solar energy.

The subscription is equivalent to 100% of the total energy used by eight healthcare facilities across Colorado. During the 20-year contract, the subscription will produce 11,652,313 kWh of clean energy, comparable to the energy needed to power 1,400 households per year.

“We pride ourselves on realizing significant cost savings for local healthcare facilities at a time when the healthcare industry needs support,” said Erik Bruner, Business Development Manager at Pivot Energy. “This is a sizable community solar subscription that allows Banner real financial savings to reallocate the critical services that Coloradans provided during the COVID-19 outbreak.”

Subscription is fulfilled by several community solar gardens across Colorado, in part due to recent changes to the rules of the state solar program and Xcel Energy’s Solar * Rewards Community program.

The logistics of the subscription are managed through SunCentral, Pivot’s proprietary cloud-based community solar software service. SunCentral has quickly become the community solar industry’s preferred platform for streamlined billing, customer acquisition, and subscription management.
