MILTON KEYNES, England: Sungrow, the world’s leading provider of inverter solutions for renewable energy, announced its contract with Bouygues Energies & Services to supply inverter solutions for two of the largest subsidy-free solar parks in the UK. The Strensham and Llanwern solar parks built by Bouygues Energies & Services for Next Energy Capital are located in Gloucestershire and South Wales, respectively. After operation, the parks will supply a total of 115 MWp with energy to 22,000 households.
Sungrow will deliver 23 units of turnkey SG3125HV-MV central inverters for the solar parks. The turnkey 1500 V central inverter solution offers easy installation and operating and maintenance costs, thus enabling cost savings. Equipped with a robust C5 corrosion protection capability, the solution is resilient in coastal areas, especially for the Llanwern project, which is only 1 km from the sea.
Keith Pedder, Energy & Engineering Director at Bouygues Energies & Services, said Sungrow has shown its focus on delivering quality products and exemplary customer service in the UK market.
Jeremy Powell, Sungrow UK Key Account Manager, said we are very excited to be working with Bouygues Energies & Services and Next Energy Capital on these extensive projects. Our goal has always been to offer our customers the most demanding and easiest solution. This shows the confidence the UK market has in Sungrow and its products.
The delivery of the inverters began in October 2020. Both companies will go online in the first quarter of 2021.
