GoSun unveiled first solar-powered tiny home Dream

  • The solar-powered device manufacturer GoSun has presented its first little house on wheels: the off-grid GoSun Dream for 69,500 US dollars, which will be available next year.
  • With the help of its power supply systems, which also include solar panels, the Dream can – depending on local conditions – remain offline for a month.
  • According to Patrick Sherwin, GoSun’s founder and CEO, this tiny house fills the energy efficiency gap that many other small home manufacturers hadn’t prioritized.
  • GoSun has seen “tremendous interest” since the tiny house was unveiled, Sherwin told Business Insider in an email interview.

The solar-powered device manufacturer GoSun has presented its first solar-powered small house on wheels: the off-grid GoSun Dream.

The tiny home movement has become more popular during the coronavirus pandemic. However, according to GoSun founder and CEO Patrick Sherwin, this growing community and the little housewives have consistently failed to prioritize energy efficiency in these portable residential buildings.

Step into GoSun, which has switched from its traditional line of solar devices to tiny houses on wheels, to fill that energy efficiency void.

“Many of our customers bought our small home solar devices, so we attended some small in-house conferences,” Sherwin wrote in an email interview with Business Insider. “We found that tiny home builders are either focused on luxury goods or on low cost. Nobody focused on energy efficiency and solar, but many potential buyers want a well-built little home with off-grid capabilities or solar for backup power.”
