Seraphim Solar System Co. Ltd., a manufacturer of solar products, claims to be investing in a 750 MW module assembly factory with fully automated production lines in Vietnam.
Seraphim’s investment will improve the resilience of Vietnamese companies in the face of the pandemic by strengthening global delivery capability through Seraphim’s S3 series half-cell modules of 500 MW S3 and S4 series half-cells of 250 MW.
The Seraphim S3 series module is equipped with 166 mm wafers that deliver a maximum output power of 450 W.
With MBB, half-cell, bifacial technology and high-density encapsulation, the efficiency of the module of the Seraphim S4 series increased to 21.1% – with a maximum output of 540 W.
“This factory aims to improve our competitiveness in the US market and increase Seraphim’s global market share by expanding overseas manufacturing capacity outside of China,” said Jun Zhuge, Seraphim executive vice president. “The construction of this factory will create more jobs and opportunities for the local community in Vietnam, fuel technological advancement in the region and contribute to a more energy-rich society.”
This move follows the company’s agreements to supply solar modules for two separate photovoltaic (PV) projects with a total output of 80 MW in Vietnam. The projects include the 30 MW BMT solar park project and the 50 MW KH solar park project.
