Tigo secures UL rapid shutdown certifications with FIMER inverters

Tigo Energy announced that it has received UL PV Rapid Shutdown System (PVRSS) certification for several new inverters from FIMER, the world’s fourth largest inverter manufacturer. There are now 15 different FIMER inverter models from 3.3 kW to 60 kW that are UL-listed with the rapid disconnection devices from Tigo.

There are now 15 different FIMER inverter models in the 3.3 kW to 60 kW range that have been UL listed with Tigo rapid shutdown devices.

“FIMER is delighted with this certification and compliance with Tigo Energy’s rapid shutdown devices as it opens up the market for FIMER’s residential and commercial inverters,” said Eduardo Casilda, FIMER CEO USA.

With a light, compact design, integrated monitoring and user interface as well as a fast commissioning process, FIMER string inverters are an ideal solution for solar systems on the roof, on the carport and on the ground.

The UL list spans the entire TS4-Flex-MLPE family from Tigo and provides customers who use FIMER inverters significant flexibility with the features they expect from their module-level power electronics (MLPE). With Tigo, customers have the freedom to choose from a menu of features such as optimization, monitoring, or just the quick shutdown function, depending on the needs of their project.

“We are excited to be working with FIMER to offer our customers the leading inverter options for their PV projects,” said Dru Sutton, vice president of sales for North America at Tigo. “Customers can pair their inverters with our MLPE and know that the technology meets the requirements for a quick shutdown in the USA.”

Below is a list of the latest FIMER product lines for string inverters that are UL PVRSS certified with Tigos MLPE:

  • UNO-DM-3.3-TL-PLUS-US
  • UNO-DM-3.8-TL-PLUS-US
  • UNO-DM-4.6-TL-PLUS-US
  • UNO-DM-5.0-TL-PLUS-US
  • UNO-DM-6.0-TL-PLUS-US
  • PVS-60-TL-US

The two companies will host a webinar on December 10th at 1:00 p.m. CET in which their inverters and emergency shutdown devices will be presented.
