Uniper eyes 4 GW of renewables capacity beyond 2025

FRANKFURT: The German energy supplier Uniper plans to develop 4 gigawatts of solar and wind power projects after 2025, said CEO Andreas Schierenbeck on Thursday.

This includes the group’s business in Russia, where the company has so far only operated fossil fuel-based power plants.

“Uniper’s asset base in Germany, Great Britain and the Netherlands offers a strong development platform at its own locations and expanded opportunities for non-organic growth,” said Schierenbeck.
