Comment on the provision, Markus Brosch, CEO of Anumar, stated: “With a project as large as the Schornhof solar park, it was particularly important for us to have a trustworthy partner who can respond quickly to our needs. We have been installing Delta equipment for many years now several solar power projects in partnership with them. During these projects Delta has always provided us with fast and easily accessible support. ”
Andreas Hoischen, Senior Director of the Photovoltaic Inverter Division, Delta EMEA, added: “Thanks to its compact design combined with high power density, our M70A inverter is easy to transport and install and is particularly suitable for use in large ground systems. Commercial mounted Solar power plants like the one here in Schornhof. “
Anumar chose the M70A string inverters from Delta because they met the requirements for compliance with the new technical VDE connection rules for high voltage (VDE-AR-N 4120), which are a basic requirement for connecting the system to the high-voltage network. In total, Delta will provide around 1,500 inverters needed to meet the site’s requirements, and the first 70 MW modules were recently connected to the grid. With a peak output of 120 MWp, the solar system is expected to generate 110 million kWh of electricity annually.
One of the challenges was to best create a solar park with the lowest possible ecological impact. Only half of the 150 hectare site is covered with solar modules. The remaining 70 hectares will be converted into a “green harbor” in order to promote the operator’s biological diversity. In this part of the project, around 50,000 new shrubs and trees will be planted, with the existing exterior timbers being retained.
The energy conversion from the solar modules to the feed point in the high-voltage network takes place in three steps. In the first stage, the solar energy from up to 12 module strings – this corresponds to a maximum of 70 kW – is combined into an inverter and converted there into 400 VAC alternating voltage. In the next stage, the energy from up to 30 inverters is then transferred to one of the 60 or more transformers, which increase the voltage level to 20 kV. The energy is transferred from the transformers to the substation specially built for the solar park. Finally, the voltage level is increased to 110 kV so that the energy can be fed into the high-voltage transmission network that runs past the solar park. The electricity generated by the Schornhof solar park is sufficient to supply up to 30,000 households with electricity, which corresponds to the entire district of Neuburg-Schrobenhausen.
Anumar chose Delta solutions because the two companies have successfully completed several solar power projects together for many years. During these projects, Delta has always impressed Anumar with its exceptional product knowledge and industry expertise, which has helped to build a long-standing, personal and loyal partnership between the two companies.
The Schornhof solar park project in the Neuburg-Schrobenhausen district southwest of Ingolstadt should be completed by the end of the first quarter of 2021. Financing is based on 90 MW power purchase agreements (PPA) and financing through the German Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG).
