The South Korean battery manufacturer LG Energy Solution has launched a new inverter on the Australian market and has expanded its Residential Energy Storage Unit (RESU) range of batteries to include a 5 kW hybrid inverter.

The South Korean battery manufacturer LG Energy Solution has launched a new inverter on the Australian market and has expanded its Residential Energy Storage Unit (RESU) range of batteries to include a 5 kW hybrid inverter.

LG Energy Solution said the new LGES-5048 hybrid inverter will be available in Australia in November and describes it as a highly efficient AC-coupled or DC-coupled unit that, when connected to a battery, can provide emergency power and keep vital equipment running in the event of a power failure or power failure.

According to LG, the hybrid inverter is designed either for new solar and storage installations or for adding storage to an existing solar system. The company said the combination of the RESU Home battery and LGES-5048 inverter will provide up to 7.5 kW solar PV capacity for new systems and up to 7.5 kW expansion of existing solar PV systems, including those , which are installed with three-phase current, allows.

The company said the inverter is 516mm x 440mm x 184mm, weighs 30kg, is 97% efficient and has a maximum voltage of 580W DC. It has an operating temperature range of -25 ~ 60 °, a fanless design, low noise emissions and comes with a 10-year guarantee. Customers also have the option of adding automated remote control, for example with the participation of Virtual Power Plant (VPP).
